DUNLAP – The Northbrook Middle School cross country runners competed in the IESA Cross Country Sectional on Oct. 12 at Dunlap Valley Middle School. The course was two miles and all of Northbrook’s runners achieved their personal best times.
In the boys’ race, Northbrook’s lone participant was Aisaac Arteaga, who finished in 72nd place with a time of 13:37.6.
The Spartan girls’ squad finished in 10th place in the team standings out of 15 schools. Lumen Setchell had the top finish for Northbrook, taking 20th place overall in a time of 13:19.37. Next in for the Spartans was Graci Bloomfield in 32nd place with a time of 13:49. 96, followed by Aliya Eames in 50th place at 14:35.9 and London Jones in 58th place at 14:45.54. Also running for Northbrook were Aliya Delao (90th, 17:13.38), Harper Stamberger (91st, 17:19.12) and Evelyn Sims (98th, 19:21.10).
