Morris handed the Mendota boys’ tennis team its first loss of the season, 3-2, on April 2 at Morris.

Preston Lewis picked up a win in singles play for the Trojans, while the doubles team of Paco Romero and Favian Arteaga also came out on top.

Mendota posted a 4-1 win over Sterling Newman on April 11 at Sterling.

Lewis won in singles, while all three Mendota doubles teams had victories. The pairs included Romero-Arteaga, Aaron Brandner-Noah DeLong and Zach Rinaldo-Aaron Schmidt.

Mendota won all three doubles matches to take the victory. Teaming up were Romero-Arteaga, Brandner-DeLong and Rinaldo-Alexis Perez.
