HINCKLEY – The Mendota girls’ soccer team saw its season come to a close after being shutout by Stillman Valley, 7-0, in the semifinals of the Hinckley-Big Rock Class 1A Regional on May 9 at Hinckley.
In the other semifinal game, Princeton downed the host school by a 5-1 count.
In the championship game on May 12, Stillman Valley broke a 1-1 tie midway through the second half and upended Princeton, 2-1.
