OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College men’s basketball coach Chris Herman announced the signing of former Mendota High School star Joe LaShonse.
LaShonse, who sat out last year and is currently on IVCC’s tennis team, was All-State Honorable Mention as a senior in 2017, Mendota’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,800 points, first-team all-conference three years, team captain two years and team MVP his senior season.
In addition, LaShonse was named all-tournament three years at the Seneca and Hall tournaments and two years at the Plano Tournament.
