The Mendota Lady Trojans disposed of Kewanee, 5-0, in varsity girls’ tennis action on Aug. 29 at the MHS courts.
Iris Espinoza and Marie Barnickel captured singles victories for the Lady Trojans. Teaming up for doubles victories were Leslee Thorson-Grace Brandner, Emma Boatman-Paityn Barkman and Cheyenne West-Emma Guelde.

The Lady Trojans took second place in the Coal City Invitational on Sept. 2. Coal City won the team title, while Princeton was third and East Aurora fourth.
Espinoza grabbed first-place honors at No. 1 singles, while Guelde and Landgraf tied for first at No. 3 doubles.
