PORT BYRON – Riverdale delivered a 53-0 shutout victory over Mendota in freshman-sophomore football action on Sept. 2 at Port Byron.
The home team built a 25-0 halftime lead and added 28 points in the second half, including 22 in the fourth quarter.
Mendota generated 123 yards on offense, led by Cole Tillman with 60 yards rushing. He also threw for 27 yards. Ross Sondgeroth had three catches for 17 yards.
Riverdale piled up 533 total yards that included TD runs of 76, 27, 69 and 58 yards.
