After a slow start, Mendota got things going in the second quarter and sailed to 31-14 win over North Boone in freshman-sophomore girls’ basketball action on Feb. 6 at the MHS gym.
The Lady Trojans were down 6-3 after the first frame, but then outscored the visitors, 13-2, in the second period to take control.
Katie Jenner led Mendota with 10 points, while Emily Stewart helped out with seven markers.

Mendota lost to Rockford Lutheran, 45-15, on Feb. 8 at Rockford.
Stewart had eight points for MHS.
