The Mendota Trojan wrestlers were defeated by three teams in a quadrangular meet at Plano on Nov. 28.

Mendota dropped a 66-12 decision to Dwight. Michael Fenwick and Uziel Angulo were forfeit winners for the Trojans.

Mooseheart downed the Trojans, 48-24. Ty Connelly pinned his opponent at 145 pounds, while Fenwick, Tyler Preston and Gustavo Salinas won by forfeit.

Plano scored a 78-6 triumph over the Trojans as Connelly picked up a forfeit for Mendota’s lone win.

Mendota’s wrestlers competed in the Princeton Blackmark Tournament on Dec. 1.

Ethan Hanaman was the only Trojan wrestler to medal. He finished in second place in the 126-pound weight class.

The Trojans hosted Stillman Valley and Princeton in a triangular on Dec. 3 at the MHS gym.

Against Stillman Valley, the Trojans suffered a 66-18 setback. Hanaman (126) and Aaron Garza (220) picked up pin wins for Mendota, while Dan Heiting (182) was a winner by forfeit.

Princeton scored a 54-21 triumph over the Trojans. Hanaman and Heiting posted both of Mendota’s wins by pin.
