4 Spikers earns all-BNC honors

MENDOTA – Four Mendota Spikers were recognized for their play by being named to the Big Northern Conference all-conference team for the 2018 season.

Two Spikers were selected to the first team – senior outside hitter Abby Phalen and sophomore setter Ella Massey.

Senior outside hitter Myah Boelk earned second-team all-conference honors, while senior libero Larkin O’Donnell was named to the honorable mention team.

FIRST TEAM

North Boone – Emma Freeman, Sr., libero; Mendota – Ella Massey, So., setter; Abby Phalen, Sr., outside hitter; Winnebago – Kate Firch, Sr., middle hitter; Dixon – Juliana Rotella, Sr., outside hitter; Oregon – Bailey Nelson, Sr., right side hitter; Rockford Lutheran – Lauren Spangler, So., outside hitter; Rock Falls – Elise Moeller, Jr., outside hitter; Kenzie Olson, Sr., middle hitter; Gracie Lovgren, Jr., outside hitter
