MENDOTA - Jeff B. Duncan, 63, of rural Mendota passed away Jan. 26, 2019 at his home.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Jeff was born Dec. 17, 1955 in Taylorville to George and Joan (Sonnie) Duncan. He married Shari Magill on Aug. 12, 2016.
Survivors include his wife of Mendota; one brother, Gary of Batavia; his father, George Duncan of Mendota; two daughters, Nicole (Michael) Dillard of St. Louis and Tiffany Duncan of Little Rock, Ark.; two stepchildren, Corwin (Jerica) Magill of Peoria and Brandon (Kelsie) Hardy of Ottawa; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2002.
Jeff was a 1974 graduate of St. Charles High School. He was a dedicated athlete in wrestling and football having played one year in college. He worked for Silver Line Windows for 18 years and most recently at Wal Mart in Peru as a hardware associate. He was a family oriented person who loved people and was known for his gift of gab. He had a warm personality and a great sense of humor. He trained Rottweilers to become police dogs and was active in giving to humane societies.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
