MENDOTA - Mendota hosted the Three Rivers Conference Girls’ Track & Field Meet on May 3.

Mendota’s boys’ tennis team split a triangular meet with Rockford Christian and Rockford Lutheran on April 30 at the MHS courts.

STERLING – The Mendota Trojans will compete in the Sterling Newman Class 2A Regional Baseball Tournament.

OREGON – The Mendota softball team has been assigned to the Oregon Class 2A Regional Softball Tournament to be played May 13, 14, 18.

Mendota’s boys’ track team went up against three other schools in the Ottawa Quad on April 30.

MENDOTA – The Mendota Lady Trojans closed out the regular soccer season with a 1-0 triumph over Dixon on May 1 at the MHS field.

MENDOTA - Ray Jauch has compiled a long list of accomplishments during his football playing and coaching careers. Now, long after those careers ended, perhaps the greatest accolade he could ever achieve has been bestowed upon him.

Mendota’s bats were held in check in a 4-0 loss to Sterling on May 1 at the MHS field.

SPRING VALLEY – Three Holy Cross School track athletes have earned a trip to the IESA State Track and Field Meet after participating in the sectional meet held in Spring Valley on May 4.

Ottawa struck for seven runs in the first inning en route to a 13-0 triumph over Mendota in a non-conference varsity softball game on April 30 at the MHS field.

OREGON – The Mendota girls’ soccer team has been assigned to the Oregon Class 1A Regional Soccer Tournament, to be held at Oregon Park West.

GENOA – The Mendota junior varsity boys’ track team went up against seven other schools in the Genoa-Kingston JV Invitational on April 24.

STERLING – Sterling Newman had its second straight high octane offensive performance against Mendota in picking up a 15-7 triumph over the Lady Trojans in a Three Rivers Conference contest on April 25 at Sterling.

A huge first inning propelled the Mendota varsity baseball team to a 12-4 triumph over Hinckley-Big Rock in a non-conference contest on April 23 at the MHS field.

MANLIUS – Mendota’s boys’ and girls’ track teams both took third place in the Bureau Valley Co-ed Invitational on April 22 at Manlius.

Dixon nipped Mendota, 3-2, in varsity boys’ tennis action on April 23 at Dixon

MENDOTA – The Mendota varsity girls’ soccer team cruised to a 3-0 victory over DePue/Hall on April 25 at the MHS field.

Mendota scored many of its runs early and then held on for a 9-8 triumph over Plano in a non-conference varsity girls’ softball game on April 13 at the MHS field.

Mendota and Hinckley-Big Rock played to a 1-1 tie in varsity girls’ soccer action on April 15 at Hinckley.

ROCKFORD – The Mendota girls’ track team put forth a solid effort in claiming three first-place finishes and a fifth-place showing in the team standings of the Rockford Christian Co-ed Invitational on April 20 at Rockford.

PRINCETON – Mendota went up against four other teams in the Princeton Ferris Invitational on April 15 at Princeton.

Mendota held off Princeton for an 8-7 victory in Three Rivers Conference varsity baseball action on April 15 at Princeton.

SAVOY – Mendota’s boys’ and girls’ bowling teams competed in the Brian Hodge Memorial Tournament on Jan. 6 at Savoy.

It was a rough weekend for the Mendota varsity boys’ basketball team as it was beaten by area rivals Princeton and LaSalle-Peru.

MENDOTA – Mendota had trouble shooting the basketball and Bureau Valley did not, which resulted in a lopsided 59-17 win for the Storm in Three Rivers Conference varsity girls’ basketball action on Jan. 4 at the MHS gym.
