LA MOILLE - Theresa Fay (Hix-Holmes) Rowlett, 62, of LaMoille passed away Nov. 17, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. A celebration of life will be held at the Mendota VFW following the funeral. Burial will be private at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the funeral home.

Theresa was born Aug. 2, 1956 in Aurora to Robert and Faith (Hayes) Hix, Sr. She married Gerald “Jerry” Rowlett on May 22, 1999 in Sandwich.

Survivors include her husband of LaMoille; three children, Tracy (Andrew) Holmes-Altman of Lincoln, Neb., Tina (Joel) Holmes-Preston-Hoff of Mendota and Tammy (Steve) Holmes-Woods of Hope Mills, N.C.; 19 grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel, Emma, Damian, Christian, Alex, Brandon, Nathan, Lauren, Justin, Malik, Savannah, Javon, Dante, Evan, Emalynn, Raven, Payten and Hayleigh; and one sister, Tanya (Kim) Butler of Ohio, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Hix, Jr.

Theresa attended Oswego High school. She worked many years in customer service and loved working with people. She spent many Saturday nights in the stands of Sycamore Speedway cheering for her husband. She enjoyed playing bingo on Wednesdays with her daughters at the Mendota Moose Lodge. She was one of Mickey Mouse’s biggest fans. She devoted her life to her husband, her girls and grandkids. She will always be remembered for her firecracker personality, practical jokes and sharing a quick moon at family functions.
