MENDOTA – Pamela S. Gillette, 66, of Mendota, was sent to God to return to her beloved family in Heaven.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe St., Mendota. Graveside services will follow.

She was born July 1, 1958, to Robert "Bud" and Alberta "Dolly" Gillette. She was the last of their brood.

Pam is survived by her son, Toby (Jackie) Fitzgerald; two grandchildren, Jaelyn and Jonas; a brother, Richard Gillette of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Deb Arndt of Sterling and Donna (Kevin) Dean of Salem, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Pat (Kenny) Sheridan.

She was an inspiration and shared her knowledge and love of life to every person she came in contact with. She worked at Wayside Press (RR Donnelly) for 25 years, being the first presswoman in printing for many years. She tried to overcome adversities most people would run from while pursuing her trade. She lived life her way. She was ahead of her time and a deeply devoted family historian.
