INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Navy Vietnam Veteran Donald M. Cassidy, 76, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away on June 22, 2024, after a long illness.

Donald is survived by his wife, Roberta (née Westfall). He is also survived by sisters Nancy and Pati Karch (Jack); brothers Jim (Barb), Robert (Chris), Rich (Luisa), Tom (Janet), Marty (Marcia),  Jeff (Fran) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donald is predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth; sister, Julie; brothers, George, Dennis, Jerry and Kevin.

Don served his country in the Navy aboard The USS Bon Homme Richard. The stories he could tell made us all laugh when he was in the Navy with his twin brother, Dennis. It amazed all of us on how upbeat he remained throughout his illness. Don loved and cared for his wife Roberta (Bobbie) during his illness.

Don was on the Mendota Moose ritual staff the year they were state champions. He also took a part in the Community Theatre play Death of a Salesman. Don was a lot of fun to be around.

Thanks to Clayton and Linda Kelly and Bill and Tricia Kelly for the care and love they gave to our brother Don and Roberta during his Illness.

“Fair winds and following seas shipmate, we have the watch, you stand relieved.”

Rest in peace dear brother and friend.
