MENDOTA - Tom “Tinker” Inness, 80, of Mendota passed away Oct. 29, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Bache Memorial Chapel, Van Orin. Burial will be at Repose Cemetery, Van Orin. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Tom was born March 23, 1939 in Ravenden Springs, Ark. to Lee and Cordelia (Simington) Inness.
Survivors include his wife, Edna; a brother, Ben Inness and sister, Carma Inness, both of Arkansas; two daughters, Terry Mazur and Penny (Bobby) Estes, both of Arkansas; six step children, Becky Clark, Tina (Kevin) Moore, and Jeff (Joy) Sterling, all of Illinois, Tony (Becky) Cain of Missouri, Candy (Ralph) Mattingly of Kentucky and Dena Scarbrough of Illinois; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, John Mazur; and one granddaughter, Candice Sterling.
Tom owned and operated Inness Plumbing, Heating and Cooling and Inness Pallet Company. He enjoyed traveling, casinos and spending time with friends and family.
