EARLVILLE - Timothy “Tim” Wessels, 53, of Earlville passed away Jan. 25, 2018 at his home in Earlville surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk with Father Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Somonauk. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28 at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk.
Tim was born Sept. 3, 1964 in McHenry to Gerald L. and Margaret A. (Tesch) Wessels.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret (Theodore) Seed of Earlville; two children, Jerald Wessels of Sandwich and MegAnn Wessels of Leland; his siblings, Richard (Remy) Wessels of
Pine Island, N.Y., Naomi (Mike) Grace of Somonauk and LeeAnn (William) Linder of Sheridan; seven nieces and nephews, Arial (Ryan) Bond, Tyler, Emily, Claire and Amelia Grace, and Hunter and Alexis Linder; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald.
Tim proudly served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed bingo, a good game of euchre and sports, especially the Chicago teams. He loved watching his nieces and nephews play in their sporting events. He played on the Moose softball team in Rollo.
