MENDOTA - Sandra S. Coss, 63, of Mendota passed away Dec. 28, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the funeral and burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Sandra was born June 12, 1956 in Mendota to George H. and Eileen (Wood) Phillips. She married John “Jack” Coss on Dec. 2, 1978. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Survivors include two sons, Ryan (Sarah) Coss and Clayton (Amanda) Coss, both of Mendota; two brothers, Terry Phillips and Randy (Judy) Phillips, both of Mendota; her longtime companion, Bruce Smith of Tiskilwa; and six grandchildren, Ella Coss, Collin Coss, Lila Coss, Holden Coss, Harrison Coss and Creed Coss.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Sandra was a 1974 graduate of Mendota High School.
