MESA, Ariz. - Richard Lee “Dick” Warren, 59, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Mesa, Ariz. on Nov. 30, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

MESA, Ariz. - Richard Lee “Dick” Warren, 59, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Mesa, Ariz. on Nov. 30, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Cremation rites have been accorded by the Green Acres Mortuary, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Dick was born Dec. 9, 1958 in Mendota. He married Mary Rose on March 3, 1979 in Earlville.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years; two sons, Bradley of Fort Collins, Colo. and Matthew (Carey) of Phoenix; two grandsons, Emmett Ford and Grover Hayes; a half-sister, Kimberley Warren of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers-in-law, Ronald (Deb) Rose of Mendota and Gary (Rose) Rose of LaMoille; one aunt, Ruth (Ken) Buettner of LaMoille; nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Nancy) Warren; grandparents, Ross and Janet Heiserman; and his in-laws, Donald and Darlene Rose.

Dick was a 1977 graduate of Mendota Township High School, where he actively participated in both baseball and football. He coached junior tackle football for 13 years and also coached baseball when his sons were growing up. He was an avid Cubs fan, delighting in their World Series win in 2016. He thoroughly enjoyed visiting with other fans at Sloan Park during spring training. He was employed by Coca Cola Bottling in Peru for 13 years before transferring to Coca Cola in Mesa in 2001.
