DIXON - Marna Mary Flach, 100, of Dixon died Oct. 8, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon with Rev. Thomas Doyle, pastor, officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 12 at the church.

Marna was born March 15, 1919 in Mendota to Roy and Marie (Leiser) McInturf. She married Rex Joseph Flach on Sept. 15, 1945 in Mendota. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two cherished daughters, Jackie (Mike) Healy of Dixon and Susan Piula of Reno, Nev.; two beloved grandchildren, Dan Healy and Michelle Healy; and two special great-grandsons, Zachary and Lucas Healy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years and one sister, Arlene Hinkle.

The church played an important part in Marna’s life. Her strong faith was very important to her. She was a devoted member of St. Anne’s Parish for 70 years. She was an active participant in ice cream socials, bazaars, and Study Club for many years and she organized and chaired the St. Anne’s Bridge Marathon for 45 years. Bridge was one of her favorite pastimes and she enjoyed entertaining and playing in numerous bridge clubs in Dixon. Her husband owned Flach Sign & Outdoor Advertising business where they worked together until they were 80 years old. Leisure time found Marna collecting recipes, baking delicious pies, traveling, and enjoying her perennial gardens. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs, seldom missing a game on television and continuing to be very knowledgeable about the players throughout her life. Most dear to her heart was always her family.

A memorial has been established to St. Anne Church.
