EARLVILLE - Marlene Ann Skinner, 80, of Earlville passed away Jan. 22, 2018 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville. A private memorial service will take place immediately following the visitation.
Marlene was born April 25, 1937 in Waterman to Ernest and Uvana (Casey) Hill. She married Harold T. Skinner on Dec. 29, 1954 in Sycamore. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Uvana Hill of Sandwich; two sons, Dave (Lynn) Skinner of Sycamore and Darren (Misty) Skinner of Earlville; three grandchildren, Doug (Erin), Ashley and Zach; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Maddox and Avery; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband of 52 years and one son, Douglas Skinner.
Marlene was a beautician in Earlville for many years and was also a realtor for Hoenig-Bell. She was an expert conversationalist, liked to play cards and games and loved visiting with her family, friends and neighbors over a cup of coffee. Harold and Marlene spent eight wonderful years traveling all over the U.S. in their motor home.
