Pallbearers will be Paul and Jay Bulfer; Danny, David and Gary Fitzgerald; and Joe Goecke.

Marjorie was born Aug. 5, 1930 in Utica to Leo and Ethel (Hunter) Fitzgerald. She married Richard N. Arthurs at Holy Cross Church on Sept. 22, 1951 and enjoyed 42 wonderful years with him. He preceded her in death in 1994.

Survivors include one son, Patrick (Margie) Arthurs of Elmhurst; two grandchildren, Katie Kurtz and Mary Beth (Joe) Goecke; and three great-grandchildren, Reyna, Logan and Sophie Rae, who lovingly referred to her as “GG.”

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Leona Fitzgerald and Rita Bulfer; and two brothers, Donald Fitzgerald and Kenneth Fitzgerald.

In her early work career, Marjorie was a waitress in Mendota. Later, she worked as an administrative assistant at Black Brothers in Shreveport, La. for 20 years, retiring in 1994. Her proudest role was as a mother and she was the biggest fan of her son, Patrick. She attended nearly every sporting event he played in and later coached. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and Sacred Heart in Lombard.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
