LA MOILLE - Marjean G. Lovgren, 87, of LaMoille died Jan. 20, 2018 at Aperion Care, Princeton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Jan. 24 at the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided the arrangements.
Marjean was born Sept. 7, 1930 in Mendota to Fred and Grace (Parks) Brown. She married Louis Lovgren on May 8, 1948 in Mendota. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2014.
Survivors include five sons, David Lovgren of Waxahachie, Texas, Charles Lovgren and Douglas (Gail) Lovgren, both of LaMoille, Thomas (Bonnie) Lovgren of Arlington, and Michael (Hazel) Lovgren of Amboy; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister-in-law, Marian Brown of Mendota.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Lovgren; and two brothers, Art and Benton Brown.
Marjean was a graduate of Mendota High School. She was employed by McDonald’s in Mendota for a number of years and she helped her husband in their farming operation in Westfield and Berlin townships. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille. She was a lifelong Cubs fan who enjoyed bowling and golf.
