MENDOTA - Joseph “Joey” W. Hendricks, Jr., 53, of Mendota, passed away June 7, 2021 in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 12 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Susan Presley officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 11 at the funeral home.
Joey was born May 27, 1968 in Bolingbrook to Joseph W. and Margaret (Jones) Hendricks, Sr.
Survivors include his father, Joseph W. Hendricks, Sr. of Mendota; his mother, Margaret Hendricks of Arkansas; his ex-wife, Tammy Hensley; three daughters, Amanda (Kevin) Spencer, Brittany Hendricks and Stephanie Hendricks, all of Mendota; one son, Joseph W. Hendricks III of Mendota; two sisters, Lisa Smith of Savannah and Laura Jackson of Arkansas; and eight grandchildren, Anthony, Breana, Katrina, Caidence, Riley, Skylar, Declan and Addilyn.
He was preceded in death by his dog, Jake.
Joey worked for Ridley Feeds for over 20 years. He loved dogs, computer programming, and playing his guitars. He was a big fan of the band Iron Maiden.
