MENDOTA - JoAnne Jacobs Eichorn, 80, of Mendota went home to be with Jesus on Aug. 10, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 13 at Victory Baptist Church, Mendota with Rev. Steve Breedlove officiating. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until time of services on Aug. 13 at the church. Burial was at Wyoming Cemetery, Paw Paw. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota handled the arrangements,
JoAnne was born April 23, 1938 in Paw Paw to Jake and Hazel (Rush) Jacobs.
Survivors include three loving daughters, Cindy Kay (Rodrigo) Gomez of Mendota, Kathy Jo (Kim) Humphrey of Quincy, and Brenda Lee (Ben) Eyster of Morton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois “Tootsie” Ridge of Mendota; one sister-in-law, Wilma Jacobs of Mendota; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and three brothers.
JoAnne was a member of Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with activities for Vacation Bible School. In previous years, she assisted with Sunday school and had been the Sunday school superintendent. She worked at Heritage Manor Nursing Home until her retirement in June of 2000.
