SYCAMORE - Illene A. Burkart, 70, of Sycamore died April 4, 2018 at Kishwaukee Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9 at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore with Pastor Dan Swinson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Illene was born July 10, 1947 in Mendota to Arthur and Edith (Leisure) Hawbaker. She married Thomas Burkart on June 14, 1986 in Sycamore.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Jon (Robin) Hash; three grandchildren, Codi, Madyson and Cora Hash; and one brother, Marvin (Arlene) Hawbaker of Kirkland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Ada Simpson; and several cousins.
Illene was an accountant at Northern Illinois University. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, traveling, cats and especially her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Sycamore Elks Lodge.
