PAW PAW - Eunice A. Rogers, 87, of Paw Paw passed away Jan. 5, 2019 at her home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 398 Church Road, Compton with burial at Wyoming Cemetery, Paw Paw. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11 at the church. Arrangements were handled by the Torman Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Eunice was born Aug. 25, 1931 on the family farm in rural Paw Paw to John G. and Minnie (Kaufman) Hoelzer. She married Francis Eldred Rogers on May 11, 1952. He preceded her in death in 2010.

Survivors include three children, Christa Edwards of Paw Paw, Neal (Charlie) Rogers of rural Paw Paw and Norm (Karen) Rogers of Somonauk; six grandchildren, Curt Edwards, Brandon (Laura) Boone, Brent (Jill) Boone, Bryan (Katie) Boone, Nathan (fiancée Rilee Burke) Rogers and Aaron Rogers; one grandson-in-law, Shawn Moulton; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Hoelzer; two sisters, Evelyn Rapp (Bill) Carey and Bernice (Richard) Dunn; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one granddaughter, Courtney Edwards.

Eunice lived in Paw Paw her whole life and was a lifelong, devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Compton. She worked as a receptionist at Mayrath Industries, as a teller at the State Bank of Paw Paw and was treasurer for School District 271 in addition to being a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Paw Paw Garden Club and the Paw Paw Red Hat Society and was actively involved in N.I.C.E. and the Lutheran Home Auxiliary. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Paw Paw Garden Club or to the N.I.C.E. Pantry in Lee.
