MENDOTA - Enrique Lemus, 62, of Mendota passed away Oct. 7, 2019 at OSF St. Francis, Peoria.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 at Holy Cross Church with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the Schwarz Funeral Home.
Enrique was born Sept. 27, 1957 in Cusaco Jalisco, Mexico to Guadalupe and Aurora (Orozco) Lemus. He married Maria de Rosario Lemus on Nov. 5, 2013.
Survivors include his wife of Mendota; two sons, Oscar (Jessie) Lemus of Mendota and Guadalupe (Breann Garza) Lemus of Mendota; one daughter, Renee Lemus of LaSalle; three grandchildren, Micheal Lemus, Ruby Lemus and Reyden Lemus; three brothers, Manuel Lemus of Mendota, Hector Lemus of Mendota and Luis (Maria de Jesus) Lemus of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three sisters, Luz Lemus of Mendota, Onecima Lemus of Mexico and Estela Lemus of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by one son, Enrique Lemus Jr. on Nov. 16, 2007; one brother, Juan Francisco Lemus; and his parents.
During his work career, Enrique was a welder with Motor Wheel until their closing, then H.C.C.
