MENDOTA - Dorothy E. Burkart, 92, of Mendota passed away Sept. 12, 2019 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Compton with Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating.
Dorothy was born June 6, 1927 in Mendota to John and Amelia (Liebert) Schmidt. She married Vernon Burkart on July 26, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann LeRette of Mendota, and three grandsons, Luke, Samuel and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and one sister.
Dorothy worked at HCC in Mendota. Her true passion was maintaining her lawn and beautiful flowers.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
