MENDOTA - Diane Lee (Bogathy) Bronner, 63, of Mendota, formerly of Earlville, passed away from cancer on Jan. 4, 2019 at the Mendota Lutheran Home surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life service will be held at United Presbyterian Church, 620 S. Ottawa St., Earlville at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 with Pastor Dell Keilman officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. A reception will follow immediately.
Diane was born Jan. 18, 1955 in Boston, Mass. to Constance and George F. Bogathy of Downers Grove.
Survivors include two daughters, Shannon Bronner and Rachel Bronner; one son, Matthew Bronner; one granddaughter, Shalylnn Gastel; three grandsons, Chase Partee, Charles Kaufman and Gabriel Ramirez; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Gastel; four siblings, Cheryl Daskas, Stephen Bogathy, Evon Kishi and Susan Bogathy; two aunts, Rosemarie Bogathy and Peggy Mace; and many friends.
Diane was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Earlville, where she loved singing in the choir, and of Mendota Elks Lodge 1212. She graduated from Illinois Valley Community College in 2015 with a degree in business technology and was employed at Sullivan’s Foods, where she loved her customers and coworkers. She loved her dog, Missy Elizabeth, and loved decorating her home for holidays.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mendota Lutheran Home and Divine Hospice Care of Yorkville.
