MENDOTA - Della M. Hamburg, 89, of Mendota, passed away April 19, 2021 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 23 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Masks are required and social distancing encouraged.
Della was born Oct. 21, 1931 in Magnolia to Orval and Mildred (Wilkens) Brown. She married William “Bill” Hamburg on April 27, 1957 at Holy Cross Church. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Robert) Swanson of Mendota; one grandson, Brandon (Ashley) Swanson of Peru; and a great-granddaughter, Ellen Swanson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and several brothers and sisters.
Della was a member of Holy Cross Church. She owned and operated Bill’s Bike Shop in Mendota with her husband for 43 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her and she was always willing to do anything for them.
