SUBLETTE - Daniel M. Purdy, 88, of Sublette, died Oct. 6, 2019 at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with Brian McWethy, pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Sublette, officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Repose Cemetery, Amboy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Oct. 10 at the funeral home.
Daniel was born March 8, 1931 in Tulsa, Okla. to Glenn C. and Marguerite (McCullough) Purdy.
Survivors include his friends and caregivers, Kathy Marciniak, Carol McGuire and June Winters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Martha Purdy.
Daniel was employed as an engineer for Bucyrus-Erie in Milwaukee and was also a professor at South Suburban College in Harvey for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Sublette Union Church where he taught Bible study.
