DIXON - Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Knowlton, 62, of Dixon, passed away Jan. 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by loved ones and her beloved dog, Bo.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private service for her family will be held at First United Methodist Church in Mendota with Pastor Mary Bohall officiating. A celebration of life will be held in the summer open to all friends and family. Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
Cindy was born Feb. 19, 1958 in Casper, Wy. to Ted and Doreen (Stratton) Davenport. She married James “Jimmy” Knowlton on May 23, 2008 in Mendota.
Survivors include her husband of Dixon; one son, Keith (Samantha) Sherer of Texas; one daughter, Kelsey (Atley) Bergsieker of Dixon; two step-sons, Barry (Rita) Knowlton of Florida and Kody Knowlton of Paw Paw; nine grandchildren, Eliot Bergsieker, Abel Dunn, Arlo Dunn, Max Knowlton, Irene Knowlton, Savannah Sherer, Kameron Sherer, Jessica Sherer and Katelyn Sherer; one sister, Becky Ledbetter of Alaska; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Linda Watson, Donna Young and Diana Triplett; and an infant brother, Richard Taylor.
Cindy was a registered nurse and worked at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital with Dr. Laxman S. Iyer, MD for many years prior to her retirement in October 2019. She cherished her patients and making sure they were always taken care of. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and yard. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
