MENDOTA - Clara L. Otey, 85, of Mendota, formerly of Franklin Grove, died Dec. 28, 2017 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
There will be no services. The Merritt Funeral Home assisted the family.
Clara was born Feb. 15, 1932 in Compton to Earl and Alice (Masters) Bettner.
Survivors include three sons, David Rex, Michael Rex and William Otey; one daughter, Alice Otey; two grandchildren; one brother, Wayne; and one sister, Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Clara was employed for many years in the restaurant business and also owned Clara’s Country Cafe at the junction of Routes 51 and 30, north of Compton. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
