LA SALLE - Bruce Allen Gaba, 59, of LaSalle passed away Nov. 20, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
A celebration of his life will be held next year.
Bruce was born May 17, 1959 in Berwyn to James and Lillian (Janke) Gaba.
Survivors include two sisters, Cindy (Richard) Monroe and Lillian (Frank) Spriggs; one brother, James (Lillian) Gaba; nephews, Daniel (Josette) Spriggs and their daughter, Sophia Spriggs; Eric Monroe and his children, Cole and Jena Monroe; Todd Monroe and his girlfriend, Susan and their children, Mason Monroe, Makeyla Hult, Keller Hult, Lilley Monroe and Pierce Terry; Brent Monroe and his children, Kaden, Kolton and Karter Monroe; Matt (Hallie) Monroe and their daughter, Harper Monroe; Jesse Monroe, James Gaba Jr. and Timothy Gaba; and nieces, Samantha Spriggs; Brandy Spriggs; Jackie Monroe and her son, Hunter Spiegel; Kimberly Gaba and Sherry Gaba.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1969; his father in 1980; one sister, Barbara Brozzo (Gaba) in 1998; and one brother-in-law, Charles Brozzo in 1994.
Bruce was a long-time contributor to the Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run, which he actively participated in each year. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E. and the 701 Auto Mechanic Union, from which he retired. He is lovingly remembered by his many family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to Peru Ambulance or Toys for Tots.
