MENDOTA - Brenda M. Gilchrist, 71, of Mendota passed away Oct. 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be private. Schwarz Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Brenda was born June 23, 1946 in York, S.C. to Walter and Dessie (Head) Howell. She married James H. Gilchrist on June 23, 1988 in Aurora. He preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 2008.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Thomas of Hillsboro and George Burson of Mendota; one daughter, Ronda Burson of Mendota; four grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Dale) Howell of Clover, S.C. and Johnny (Lisa) Howell of Clover, S.C.; and one sister, Francis (Frank) Hubbard of Clover, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Robert Thomas Jr. on April 23, 2015; two brothers, Robert Howell and David Howell; and one sister, Marie Pennington.
Brenda worked for Black and Decker as an order processor.
