Starved Rock Country Community Foundation planning "Disco Ball"

LaSALLE – The Starved Rock Country Community Foundation will bring back the bell-bottoms, sequins, platform shoes, and satin shirts for its third annual “Stayin’ Alive Disco Ball,” Saturday, Oct. 5 at Senica’s Oak Ridge in La Salle.

The event’s $10,000 Presenting Sponsor is the 2015 SRCCF Founding Board of Directors; the Olivia Sponsor at $5,000 is the Ethel McConnell Donor Advised Fund.

Hometown National Bank of La Salle is the $3,000 Dining Sponsor. Travolta Sponsors ($2,500-$2,999) include Financial Plus Credit Union, Wheatland Title Company, Shaw Media, Starved Rock Media, NRG Media and Shaw Local Radio.  

Groovy Sponsors ($1,000-$2,499) are Matt and Kristi Carroll of Mendota, Erin Stuedemann, Coldwell Banker, Attorney David Kaleel of Mendota, First State Bank of Mendota, SRCCF founders Pamela and Chuck Beckett and Eureka Savings Bank.

BOOMINDJ Services of Marseilles, “The biggest and best in the 815,” will deliver disco classics, a laser light show, and photo booth.

John Spencer, President and General Manager of Starved Rock Media, will be the master of ceremonies and Tony Einhaus of Thee Ultimate Party in Ottawa will set the scene. Marty McConville of McConville Auctioneering of Mendota will be the auctioneer.

Food vendors include Senica’s Oak Ridge, Thee Ultimate Party, BASH (Burgers and Sushi) of Ottawa, and Lou’s LaGrotto of Peru. Jeremiah Joe will provide a coffee bar and the SRCCF board a dessert bar.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online at www.srccf.org or by calling SRCCF Director of Operations Janice Corrigan at (815) 252-2906, ext. 2. Proceeds help SRCCF facilitate philanthropy across La Salle, Bureau and Putnam counties by “Connecting people who care with causes that matter.”

Since 2015, the foundation has created 117 charitable funds supporting fine arts, mental and physical health, education, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, downtown revitalization, disability services, disaster relief, and more.
