MENDOTA – Reimagine Mendota and the Illinois Valley Hispanic Partnership Council will present “Amigo Fest” on Saturday, Sept. 21 on Illinois Avenue in downtown Mendota.
A program will take place from 4:30-5:30 p.m. that will include a procession of flags, Mexican/American anthems, Hispanic/Mendota history, games, dances and music to celebrate community heritage.
Live music is set for 6-10 p.m. Two lives bands will play on two stages: Los Compas del Terre and Big Uproar.
Food trucks will be open from 5-10 p.m. They include Big Rich BBQ, Cajun Connection, Main Squeeze Lemonade, Tacos Guzman and Salinas Mexican Food.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Reimagine Mendota and the Mendota on Main Pavilion fundraiser.
