MENDOTA – Mendota High School’s show choir, The Rhythm Express, will host an after-school camp for students in grades 4-8 Monday through Friday, May 21-May 25. The sessions will run from 3:15-5:15 p.m. each day. Campers will be taught two songs/dances, along with other performance practices.
Cost of the camp is $50 per camper and includes five days of instruction, refreshments and a camp T-shirt. Registration forms are available at several locations: Northbrook band room, Mendota Chamber office, and Sports n Stuff.
All Mendota Elementary District 4th and 5th graders received registrations in music class and all Holy Cross students in grades 4-8 received registrations in the Tuesday folder. Registration forms are due by May 16.
The Rhythm Express show choir will embark on a performance tour of the Mt. Rushmore area in South Dakota on Tuesday, May 31. The tour will continue through June 2. Campers will be featured at the South Dakota Send-off Concert on Friday, May 25 at 7 p.m.
