TRIUMPH - Leila M. Arms, 89, of Triumph passed away on May 16, 2017 at Heritage Health, Mendota.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Kent Svendsen officiating. Burial will be at Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 22 at the funeral home.

Lee was born Oct. 25, 1927 in Triumph to Lloyd and Vada (Mann) Carr. She married Keith Arms on June 15, 1949. They were married for 32 wonderful years until his death on Aug. 9, 1981.

Survivors include one son, Joseph (Catherine) Arms of Lady Lake, Fla.; five grandchildren, Carl (Nicole), Kandy, Rebecca (Josh), Adam and Tyler; five great-grandchildren, Madison (Zach), Kamaria, Sevyon, Josh and Mason; and two great-great grandchildren, Olivia and Laken.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Ken; and three sisters, Wilda, Vera and Dora Mae.

Lee was a member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge, both in Mendota, Triumph Methodist Church, the Earlville Country Club and the Waltham Curling Club in Triumph. She worked for many years at the Troy Grove Stone Quarry and at the Curl Inn in Triumph prior to her retirement. Lee leaves behind so many great memories of all the fun times she shared with so many wonderful friends. Her special coleslaw and spaghetti will be missed from family gatherings.
