Town hall meetings will address local community opioid issues

LA SALLE - North Central Illinois Opioid Consortium (NCIOC) is inviting community members to attend an important town hall meeting to address the ongoing opioid issues in our local communities.

In order to accomplish this goal, NCIOC needs the communities’ input. They encourage individuals to join them for a town hall meeting where the following topic questions will be discussed:

  • What is currently being done in the community to address opioid issues?
  • What still needs to be accomplished?
  • What resources are needed to accomplish these goals?

Please refer to the list below and plan to attend this important meeting in your area:

LaSalle County - Monday, Sept. 9 at Illinois Valley Community College, Peter Miller Community Technology Center, Room CTC 124 (815 N Orlando Smith, Oglesby) at 6 p.m. Parking available in Lot 7.

Bureau County - Thursday, Sept. 19 at The Bureau County Metro Center (837 Park Ave W, Princeton) at 6 p.m.

Putnam County - Monday, Aug. 26 at Putnam County Emergency Management Building (1050 N, Hennepin) at 6 p.m.

City of Henry - Thursday, Aug. 29 at The Marshall Putnam Farm Bureau (509 Front St # 1, Henry) at 6 p.m.

Refreshments will be provided.
