LA SALLE - Stage 212 will hold auditions for the Children’s Theater production, “Dear Edwina, Jr.” on Friday, June 21 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m. Children entering grades 4 through 8 are invited to attend either audition time at the theater, 700 First St., downtown LaSalle. A full production by kids, for kids, “Dear Edwina, Jr.” is open to all children.
Director Karly Swords will cast approximately 30 children in a variety of lead and supporting roles. Kids will be taught a musical piece and short dance to perform as part of the audition. Some auditioners will be asked to read from the script. No advance preparation is necessary, but kids should come dressed in comfortable clothes with shoes suitable for dancing (no sandals or flip-flops). All auditioners should bring a calendar with all of their summer conflicts. No absences will be allowed after Aug. 5.
