MT. MORRIS - On April 6, the April Fools jokes should be well behind us and it will be time for some serious musical entertainment at First Fridays. Once again, the Mt. Morris Moose Family Center will host the popular open stage music show and a good time is assured for all.
Musicians will draw for time slots at 6:30 p.m. with performances starting at 7 p.m. and continuing until all musicians - even late arrivals - have their turn on stage. A jam session will follow until it is time for the traditional closing with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”
The musical styles vary widely including country, bluegrass, folk, blues, light rock, and eclectic blending of multiple genres. The musicians will be supported by a professional sound system engineered by Kent Anders.
Music fans are encouraged to arrive hungry and thirsty as the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge, 101 Moose Drive (off of East Hitt Street), is highly regarded for its food and beverage service.
Be sure to mark April 6 on your calendar to be part of a new chapter in the 18-year history of First Fridays.
