LA SALLE - Carrrie Lijewski has been named as the new director of the Hygienic Institute in LaSalle.
A resident of Oglesby, Lijewski was director of medical staff affairs at Pekin Hospital before coming to the Hygienic. Prior to working in Pekin, she was director of quality, risk and safety at St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator and also worked for 16 years at Mendota Community Hospital, including six years as chief operating officer.
The new Hygienic director earned Bachelor’s and Master’s of science in health service administration degrees from the University of St. Francis in Joliet.
The Hygienic Institute is a not-for-profit community health clinic affiliated with Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
