LA MOILLE - Hal Adkins recently added a UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) to his Hal Adkins Photo Studio operation in LaMoille. The new feature is named New View Drone Service.
Adkins, who is an FAA commercially licensed and insured remote pilot and a licensed private pilot, said use of a drone in any commercial operation requires the pilot/operator to successfully complete the proper FAA license certification process every two years. He noted that UAS photography and videography is a growing industry with many applications including farm/agricultural, business/commercial, real estate, inspections, law enforcement, insurance, advertising, news coverage, promotion, education, and other fields.
Modern drones provide the possibility of in-town low level aerial photography and videography of businesses and residences, as well as farms and rural homes, which conventional aircraft cannot provide. This technology opens new opportunities for business promotion and photo portraits of families that can include an overview of their home in the image.
Adkins Photo is located at 107 Main St., LaMoille. He may be contacted by phone at (815) 638-2152, e-mail halaphoto@live.com or visit www.halsphoto.com.
