MENDOTA – Mercedes Hermosillo, 42, of 1607 Lincoln Ave., Mendota, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, a class 2 felony, at 12:39 p.m. Nov. 14.
Hermosillo’s arrest was the result of a joint investigative venture between the TRIDENT drug task force and the Mendota Police Department.
Bond was set at $1 million/10 percent to apply. The subject was transported to the LaSalle County Jail where she was awaiting an arraignment hearing.
The city of Mendota has experienced numerous drug-related deaths in 2018, and many drug-related overdoses as a result of illegal narcotics use and distribution. The Mendota Police Department urges anyone with information regarding person(s) distributing narcotics to contact the Mendota Police Department at (815) 539-9331.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
