MENDOTA - Mendota School District 289 will have its next preschool screening for children ages 3 to 5 who reside in the district. The screenings will be held from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 at First United Methodist Church, 100 E. Sixth St., Mendota.
The screenings are for children who will be 3 to 5 years old by Sept. 1 and who are not currently enrolled in kindergarten. L.E.A.S.E. will screen key developmental areas such as motor development, speech, language, vision, hearing and general readiness. Parents are urged to take advantage of the services provided for free by L.E.A.S.E. and District 289.
All children must be screened to be eligible for the Preschool for All Program. If your child is currently enrolled in the Mendota District Preschool for All Program, he/she does not need to be screened again.
