MENDOTA - L.E.A.S.E. will hold preschool screenings for Mendota District 289 in the coming months at First United Methodist Church, 100 E. Sixth St., Mendota. The screenings, which are for children who will be 3 to 5 years old by April 1 and are not currently enrolled in kindergarten, will take place on Thursday, Feb. 20 (morning); Thursday, March 19 (afternoon); and Monday, April 27 (morning).
L.E.A.S.E. will screen key developmental areas such as motor development, speech, language, vision, hearing and general readiness.
All children must be screened to be eligible for the Preschool for All Program. If your child is currently enrolled in the Mendota District Preschool for All Program, he/she does not need to be screened again. Applications for Mendota District 289 Preschool for All will be available at the screenings.
