MENDOTA - Beck Oil Company, parent company of the several Beck’s fuel, food and convenience locations through the Illinois Valley, became a bronze level ($500) “Launching Sponsor” of The Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley March To A Million campaign. The one-time campaign, launched last week at www.1mil.org, aims to break the $1 million mark in conjunction with the event’s 10th year anniversary in July of 2019.
Beck Oil was among the first organizations to answer the call for Launching Sponsors to super-charge the campaign with generous initial donations and sponsorships. “We are grateful for Beck’s generosity and for their enthusiastic support of this one-time campaign,” said campaign chairperson Mitch Landgraf.
Rochelle Becker, vice-president of Beck Oil Company, commented, “Beck Oil is present throughout the area served by Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley, so it was our privilege to join the community and our customers in this noble campaign against a common enemy - cancer.”
Beck Oil has locations in Peru, LaSalle, Oglesby, Princeton, and Mendota.
Area residents, businesses, and organizations can donate, learn about the campaign or sign up to participate at www.1mil.org. Sponsorship and other inquiries may be e-mailed to rfluiv@gmail.com.
