MENDOTA - Local historian Steve Dancey recently visited 3rd and 4th graders at Holy Cross School to give a presentation on the Plains Indians. Dancey shared stories of his experience living with the Lakota Indians and explained how they hunted buffalo along with the ways they used each part of the animal. Students were fascinated with the stories and artifacts he shared. (Photo contributed)
