PRINCETON - Are you a landowner or a female farmer who would like to learn more about the economics of your farming operation? Plan to join the sixth annual Lady Landowner seminar on Friday, March 15. The event will take place at the Ye Old Underground Inn, Princeton beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding with lunch.

Guest speakers will discuss the following topics:

• Dr. Michael Rosmann, PhD., Ag Behavioral Health, is a farmer and psychologist who has devoted most of his professional life to understanding and improving the behavioral health of people involved in agriculture. His discussion addresses how farmers, their families, employees, business partners and communities can cope with stress while offering resources you can use in the future.
• Paul Stoddard, U of I Agricultural & Consumer Economics, is a senior lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois. He teaches courses in agricultural marketing, food and agribusiness management, personal financial planning, and farm management. Over 7,500 students have enrolled in his courses since 2001. He will discuss what keeps farm owners awake at night. Get the latest insights on issues that really matter to landowners including leases, budgets, farm economics and land values.

This free seminar is being supported by Bureau County Farm Bureau, Bureau County U of I Extension, Bureau County Farm Service Agency, Bureau County Soil and Water Conservation District, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. The program is made possible by the Illinois Farm Bureau & COUNTRY Financial Farm Safety Grant.
